EASY TO LEARN.
IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT DOWN

The fastest-growing sport in the UK has arrived in West Northants.
TENNIS MEETS TABLE TENNIS
Imagine a sport that combines the best elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis.

It is played on a badminton-sized court (so less running!), with a low net and solid paddles. The ball is plastic and perforated, meaning it moves slower than a tennis ball. This makes it perfect for all ages and abilities.
-
Low Impact: Kinder on the knees than tennis.
-
Social: You are close to your partner, so it’s easy to chat (and laugh).
-
Quick to Learn: Most people can hold a rally within 15 minutes.

Quick FAQ
Q: Do I need to buy a paddle?
A: No! We provide high-quality paddles for all beginner sessions and courses. Just bring yourself.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Comfortable gym kit and trainers with good support (court shoes are best, running shoes are okay to start). If you are playing at The Court Yard (Depot), remember to bring layers as it can be cool!

Q: I haven't played sport in 20 years...
A: You are exactly who we are looking for. Pickleball is low-impact and our "Couch to Court" course assumes zero fitness level.

Q: I don’t have a playing partner, can I come alone?
A: Absolutely! In fact, most of our new players arrive solo. Pickleball is incredibly social; we mix everyone up and rotate partners constantly. You will walk in as a stranger and leave with a whole new group of friends.

Q: What is "Picklebound"?
A: Think of it as "Pickleball for the Soul." These sessions are focused on mental wellbeing, movement, and music. There is no coaching, no score-keeping, and zero pressure to perform. It is a safe, friendly space to clear your head and get moving.

Q: Where do the sessions take place?
A: We play across two venues! The Court Yard (our heritage depot in Weedon) and Parker E-ACT Academy (Daventry). Please check your booking confirmation carefully so you head to the right one!

Q: I have a bad back / knees, is it safe for me?
A: Pickleball is famous for being low-impact (the court is smaller than tennis, so there is much less running!). However, always listen to your body. If you are worried, start with our PickleHour or Couch to Court sessions, which are gentler paced, and let the session leader know about any injuries.

Q: Do I need to sign up for a membership?
A: Not at all. We are a flexible club. You can "Pay & Play" for individual sessions whenever it suits you. However, if you catch the Pickleball bug (and you likely will!), we offer memberships that give you discounted rates.
