We'd like to extend a warm welcome to West Northamptonshire Pickleball and thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We're excited to share our story, our identity, and the values that drive us.

The directors of our company – initially met as friends playing badminton at a local club established by Kate in 2020. This club was born out of a disappointing experience. When Kate and a friend tried another badminton club in Daventry, her friend was turned away and told to improve before returning. Kate was disheartened by this exclusivity. She firmly believed that local sports should be accessible, open, friendly, and above all, inclusive. This conviction spurred her to create her own club, where she and the future directors of West Northamptonshire Pickleball first connected.

Following some challenging times, Kate founded Daventry Wellness & Sports CIC in March 2024. In May 2024, pickleball was introduced to the programme offerings, and it has since experienced remarkable growth, both locally and nationally. With over 40,000 people now playing pickleball in the UK, it's rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing sports in both the UK and the USA.

The core values that are instilled in our sessions are inclusivity, friendliness, social connection, accessibility, and most importantly, fun. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned player, our club is open to everyone, from Daventry to Dunchurch, Badby to Barby and Whilton to Welton, ensuring that everyone enjoys their time and feels supported.

We offer a variety of weekly sessions, with plans to expand further to include family sessions, junior sessions, and our own league. Behind the scenes, the directors work tirelessly to ensure that sessions run smoothly. We also organize social events for our members, fostering the social aspect of our sport.
