A healthier, happier community

West Northamptonshire Pickleball is a Community Interest Company, which means we're run for community benefit rather than private profit. Pickleball is how most people find us. Belonging, wellbeing and connection are why they stay.

Community in action

Nobody plays alone here

Whatever brought you to pickleball, we want the club to give you something back beyond the sport itself. Read why WNP exists →

Belonging

Welcome WhatsApp group

Every new member is introduced into our private WhatsApp group before their first session, so there's already a friendly face waiting when they arrive.

Buddy sessions

New and nervous? Ask for a buddy and an experienced member will play alongside you for your first few weeks, no pressure attached.

Wellbeing

Wellbeing first

We know pickleball brings people through the door for reasons beyond fitness — loneliness, recovery, a fresh start. We recognise that people come to pickleball for many different reasons, and our volunteers and coaches work hard to create a welcoming environment, and can help signpost members towards further support where appropriate.

Bursary places

A small number of subsidised memberships may be available for anyone who would otherwise be priced out. Ask any coach in confidence.

Growing together

Junior Pathway

A structured, low-cost route for young players, part-funded by adult memberships so cost is never the barrier.

Volunteering

Almost everything at WNP happens because a member gave a little of their time. See how you can get involved →

The club exists because people care

From setting up nets before dawn to running the Junior Pathway, almost everything you see at WNP happens because a member gave a little of their time. It's not run by staff — it's run by people who showed up, got involved, and stayed. If pickleball has given you something, there's always a way to give a little back.

Real members, real reasons

Why people actually stay

Everyone who plays here has a story about why they turned up the first time — and why they kept coming back.

“There are other pickleball clubs closer to home, but I still drive over from East Hunsbury every week — because here, I actually feel like I belong.”

Meet PaulStill makes the trip from East Hunsbury, every week

“Pickleball opened up my life in a way I didn't expect. I've got friends now that I didn't even realise I was missing.”
