Social is where most of the club plays. Mixed abilities, rotating doubles, and no expectation that you are any good yet. It is the normal next step after Beginners — and for a lot of people it is the only session they ever need.

Social is not a step up you have to earn. If you have done a Beginners session, you are ready for this one — that is what Beginners is for.
Rotating partners means you play with stronger players and weaker ones in the same session. That is how you improve without anybody having to organise it.
You do not need to bring anybody. Games are put together on the night and you will have played with several different people by the end.
You keep learning by playing, not by waiting until you are good enough to play.
Nobody is checking your standard at the door.
Club paddles and balls are there. Bring your own if you have one, but plenty of regulars still use ours.
Places are limited by the number of courts, so book rather than turn up. You will see how many places are left before you book.
Club Matchplay is the usual next thing people try, and it is a step across rather than up. See what competitive looks like.
Start with a Beginners session. It is an hour, equipment is provided, and it runs straight into a Social so you finish your first hour already playing with the club.
